Property Description: Rent a Spacious upscale 2BR+1BA apartment in downtown Rome (PortaPia)for your Roman Holidays - FROM OWNER As I travel very often, even for long periods (months!), my flat in Rome is available for rent whenever I am not there. This is my real house, not a commercially rented flat! Its in a great 19th century building, in via Nomentana, and I had the apartment recently restyled. The apartment is 100 sq meters (1100 sqft) w/ high vaulted ceilings that make it feel even bigger, and a traditional roman tiled floor. Two huge and comfortable double bedrooms, each one w/ a queen size bed. 4 friends can really enjoy it. In the dining/living there's a large wooden table that seats 6/8 right under one of the tall windows that overlook Via Nomentana (the "chic" address in Rome - pls check on Goggle Maps). There is a separate kitchen completely outfitted including fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. One of the best things about the apartment, is that it is in a secure building (w/ concierge) on the 4th floor (5th floor in American terms); there is also an elevator, which means no hauling luggage up and down flights of stairs. Free wideband internet and free wi-fi are also there. All you really need is a toothbrush!! This northern area is within walking distance to everything (see map), including the main Termini train station and the Metro Station (Castro Pretorio), and completely safe. I finally chose this neighborhood after years of living in Rome, and here you are downtown without the hassle of tourist crowds. Stay just out of the touristic circuit. When in Rome, do as romans do!
Amenities and Facilities: Part of the reason it's so popular, is because it's in the center of Rome (the apartment overlooks one of the ancient gates of the Ciry, Porta Pia, restyled by Michelangelo in the XVI Century!) but it's surrounded by public parks. The three main parks in the neighborhood are Villa Torlonia (former residence of Mussolini), the Borghese Gardens (w/ the world renowned Borghese Museum) and Villa Ada (former residence of the Italian Royal family), which is wild and huge. All you runners and walkers. . . this is the area for you. Believe me, this is a taste of a real Italian neighborhood with the best shopping in Rome within a few blocks! Plus fashionable cafes and bars and good local trattorie serving the local residents, just outside your front door. And just outside the door you will find the bus stop to travel the whole city. Anyway, send me an email if you are interested. It is only 99 euros per day for a minimum 3 days stay. Ask for reduced prices for longer terms (welcome). Thanks. If you are interested pls e-mail me at aronasrl@libero.it with some basic information about you and the period you require. I will send you a full description and more photos. * 2 double bedrooms * one bathroom *formal dining/living * fully equipped kitchen * dishwasher * washing machine * oven * fridge * dining table * Free Internet & Wi-fi connection *cleaning *towels and bed sheets * End cleaning charge Euro 40 * cats are OK - purrr * Location: Porta Pia
