A short distance from Rome, set among the wooded hills which are so characteristic of the splendid Umbrian countryside, is the perfect refuge from the stress and strains of work and day-to-day routines.
The Volo (wich means “flight”) Rental is a very special experience blending elements of a family farm, a hotel, a country house and a beautiful farm.
The Volo is also a place for those who love art . The owner is a special local artist who uses materials such as wood, iron, stone and ceramics in his work. He is affiliated with the IVY League University in New York: Columbia University and is known there for his work on blending different materials to create art.
He is known as an artist who creates a continuity between wood, iron, rock creating a “new” entity that did not exist before. That is why the Volo has a unique architecture; the owner has an incredibly creative mind and his artistic skills have designed a structure which appears to be like a house of dreams – a place where princes and princesses meet – a place of art and beauty.
It is also an ideal place for meditation, entering in the owner’s dream made of extravagant imagination, mirages and suggestions.
Here you can also practice yourself making art with him; in fact he likes to offers art classes to his guests.
The stone farm house, almost hidden by old majestic oaks, is set high on a secluded hill with a magnificent view, and is close to some of the most interesting cultural and historical sites in Umbria.
It is the ideal spot for anyone seeking peace, tranquility and contact with nature in a friendly family atmosphere.
The Volo Resort offers five apartments, a very beautiful swimming pool set in a flowering rock garden, a panoramic terrace with a barbeque and wood-fired oven, and a vast lounge which is always open, where guests can socialise and get to know each other, and maybe organize supper or a pizza party with one another.
The interior of each apartment has been designed with a passionate attention to detail. Each one is different, though a common thread links them all – the materials: field stone, travertine stone, iron, copper, and fauve-effect wood, are combined to create a strikingly attractive and original, comfortable environment.

A nice and fresh wheelchair friendly apartment with independent entrance and private porch.
Composed by a spacious living room with fireplace and double sofa bed, confortable double bedroom, bathroom. 2 extra sleeps are available upon request.

A vast and warm common area always open in wich to relax and spend time with your family and friends. This living area is light and airy and provides direct access to the pool, passing through a flowering rock garden.
